For the last 15 years, Orlando has been the location surgical robotics companies choose when introducing new technology to the U.S. market, and for good reason. With approximately 610 surgeons at 59 hospitals, the seven-county Orlando region presents a huge market opportunity. That’s not to mention the presence of a dedicated space for surgical robotics training.
Orlando ranks No. 6 out of 20 for fastest-growing tech markets, according to Time magazine, which gathered data from job search site ZipRecruiter. That data was analyzed for more than 8 million active jobs, wages and year-over-year growth.
Orlando's top tech jobs include project manager, software engineer, project engineer, network engineer and developer. Year-over-year growth in tech jobs here is 149 percent, along with $52,800 in early career median pay, $87,400 in mid-career median pay, $1,500 in median rent and a $210,000 median home price.
