The new solar farm joins the infamous Mickey-shaped 5MW solar park that Disney installed next to its Epcot center in 2016 and will provide up to 25% of the power used by Disney World. That’s equivalent to powering two of Disney’s theme parks, which is no small feat.
Kingwood International Resorts has purchased the AAA Four Diamond-rated Reunion Resort and released an ambitious expansion plan for the Disney-area golf destination. Kingwood announced plans to make significant investments in Reunion Resort, including the addition of 1,200 rental accommodations, a new 400-room hotel with convention and meeting facilities to enhance the resort’s condominium and private home rentals.
An affiliate of South Florida-based developer BTI Partners has raised $55.26 million in tax-exempt bonds to fund the next year of renovation and construction at its 878-unit condo hotel The Grove Resort & Spa.
"The water parks was a portion of the debt raise, that's under construction as we speak and will be completed in January 2018," he said. "Phase 2 (another 280 units) should be opening by March 2018, and then a final phase of 280 renovated units will follow."
Chicago-based Levy Restaurants announced it closed Portobello this week and has started work on a multimillion-dollar renovation of the space into a new, Italian restaurant concept.
The new restaurant, for which a name hasn’t yet been revealed, will be run by James Beard Award-winning chef and Top Chef Master Tony Mantuano. The new restaurant’s menu will feature dishes inspired by Mantuano’s “adventures across the many regions of Italy.”
