Orlando Division Director Clint Ball recently announced the homebuilder expects to close this summer on 151 acres on Sand Mine Road, on the Polk County side of the county line. He said the newest community, dubbed Windsor Ridge, would be a replacement for Pulte's Windsor at Westside.
Kingwood International Resorts has purchased the AAA Four Diamond-rated Reunion Resort and released an ambitious expansion plan for the Disney-area golf destination. Kingwood announced plans to make significant investments in Reunion Resort, including the addition of 1,200 rental accommodations, a new 400-room hotel with convention and meeting facilities to enhance the resort’s condominium and private home rentals.

New multifamily developments would be hit hardest under the staff recommendation. Their fees would nearly double from $6,088 per unit to $11,362. Multifamily developers are also facing a potential doubling of mobility fees in 2018, and the combination of the two could kill some projects that are currently in permitting.

Mattamy Homes has purchased 1,650 new lots for a regional expansion in places including the northwest corner of Osceola County near Walt Disney World, which will see the debut of Mattamy Homes into the Vacation Rental market. Solara at Westside will include more than 900 lots, and will feature resort-style amenities, town homes and single-family homes.
