Orlando Sets World Record Thanking 2016’s 68M Visitors

Visit Orlando unveiled a new milestone visitation number as it celebrated the 68M people who visited Orlando in 2016. Dedicating this announcement to our visitors, we teamed up with the Orlando tourism community to show our appreciation by saying "Thank You!" in a new and exciting way.

To do this, the Orlando tourism community came together to hand write thousands of thank you cards for a new campaign we're calling #OrlandosBIGThankYou.

"Orlando's visitation number represents the emotional connections we make with millions all over the world. The love they show us never ceases to inspire us, and led us to launch a year-long campaign around two important words: thank you," said George Aguel, President and CEO of Visit Orlando.

The campaign started today in a BIG way after achieving a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for collecting the most hand-written thank you cards in a 24-hour period.

See how some of Orlando's local celebrities have said thank you and keep up with the campaign by following Visit Orlando on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram or using our hashtag, #OrlandosBIGThankYou.
